Deacon is a former warrior who once enjoyed a life of fame and honor, that is to say, before he went completely bankrupt. While Deacon rummages around to look for work, he runs into Lagabi: his long-time wizard friend and his secret crush. Knowing Deacon's situation, Lagabi decides to hire Deacon to assist him in his research projects that involve "special" experiments.
