Anise is an inquisitive girl who loves books and reading about about plants. However, she lives a quiet life, thinking that she would marry a local boy and spend the rest of her life with him, never leaving her village. Then one day, a mysterious disease breaks out in the village. In order to save her mother and the villagers from the disease, Anise sets off in search of a legendary medicinal herb called "amakoikusa." Based on a rumor that the herb is found where cave bees live, Anise goes to a dungeon in an old castle. There, she meets Wolfe, a lone, wounded swordsman. After helping to heal him, they begin to work together to explore the dungeon, but Wolfe seems to have another goal in mind.
