The story takes place in a small village with only a total of six children. All these people frequent the only school in the village and Soyo, in her second year of middle school, is the eldest of them. But one day, this small group of children get the exciting news, a new student from Tokyo will enroll at their school! But Soyo is disappointed, the new boy Osawa is far from the image she had made up in her head​​.
